Warning!! Extreme Picture Intensive Post.. may will lag the computer..its been a whole month.. actually more than a month since i last posted anything here.. it is those kind where you are so busy with lots of stuff until u dunno what u wanna post anymore..
ok summary.. i've been to
Bali and
Taiwan.. nuff said..
went Bali with Beien, Ming Jue, Peifen, Xiying, Jieyan and Justin.. had a hell load of fun there.. especially the volcano trekking and the water sports..
but, cos the DSLR is kinda vulnerable to sea water n sand, so the water sports is not captured..

at the airport before departure..

there were alot of very beautiful monuments in Bali.. visited lots of it and enjoyed taking photos of them..

though, i still think that their sculptures of their deities n gods are kinda scary..

their art museum is also a must go..

this is taken at Tanah Lot, a temple by the sea.. damn nice waves =)

we even had dinner on a cliff by the sea

not too sure what's so hype bout this icon, but ya we took pictures with it..

the streets of Bali and the shops.. we actually bargained until we were bored.. hahaa

A&W!!!!!!

sunrise atop Mount Batur, an active volcano.. BEAUTIFUL!!

小白 =) he climbed all the way up the volcano by himself, and for quite awhile alongside us..

one of the big craters in the volcano.. this is where the lava flows out if it erupts..

Bali also has alot of waterfalls.. most of the are those that have standards one.. not the pathetic little trickle kind..

Our driver for most of the trip in Bali.. he is uber nice, bring us to nice places to eat n good places to sightsee..

surfing is quite common in Bali.. Jieyan, Justin n me went to learn and now we know how to surf =)

our last dinner in Bali, and the second time we ate there.. the dinner is really very very nice..
one interesting thing happened during the water sports though.. while trying to balance on the banana boat, Jieyan lean abit too far back and pressed my leg into the water.. i was then dragged into the water at high speed.. painful, but fun.. hahaa..
Taiwan trip with Joan, Tracy n Shawn was all eat n shop.. hahaa..
13 days, almost one round Taiwan..
once we reach the airport, Shawn was 'volunteered' to help out in the training of the airport dog..

hahaa Joan's fate for the rest of the trip =P

monkey shot number 1

monkey shot number 2

view atop Taipei 101.. actually the open observatory at 91 floor was open, but due to the rain they closed it =(

but because to the rain, we were able to see a double rainbow..

Gundam Base Taipei.. my paradise.. hahaa

the beaches in 华莲 are super nice.. too bad no time for beach fun..

the mountains n ravines in Taiwan are extremely beautiful.. honestly speaking, even the DSLR is also not able to totally capture the beauty of the whole place..

can see the place where different minerals cause different colours in the same river..

saw this kid cheating at Rubix Cube.. pathetic attempt..

原主民族 dance.. this one was nice..

i just love to take pictures of railways..

this is the train that took us to the top of 阿里山..

the super-scared-of-the-cold-and-wearing-3-jackets Joan.. hahaa

pig shaped trunk

heart shaped branch formed from 2 trees..

mystical trees.. hahaa

clovers?

2000 years?? seriously???

we also went to 周杰伦's restaurant..

the piano from 不能说的秘密.. COOL!!!! too bad we are not allowed to play on it..

the junction of 西门町..

the MRT of 高雄.. damn beautiful..

at the beaches of 西子湾.. unglam =P

Hello Kitty Ferris Wheel..

城市光廊.. nice place of lights..

国立海洋生物博物馆.. beautiful place..

sadly the corals n fishes dont look as colourful as when scuba diving..

the fishes swimming around the whale shark are bigger than the size of our heads..

the smiling puffer fish =)

the joke of the trip.. Moon Lake = 沐恋.. hahaa

kill the kitty at the Hello Kitty Restaurant.. hahaa

nice and good food..

but why is Hello Kitty hanging herself??

the last theme park we went.. lots of ride..

including a huge pirate ship.. hahaa..

and a impressive safari with a white tiger..
yup didnt take pics of shopping and stuff.. and there are so much things to say that it kinda becomes sporadic.. hahaa..

been quite a empty week.. went out to watch the same movie twice, helped Tian move her stuff from NTU hall back home, collect my Diving Certification Card.. yup that sums up the stuff i did last week..
going to Bali tomorrow.. for 9 full days of sun (hopefully).. and definitely no flu, regardless swine or not..

something someone posted on FB.. thought it looked interesting..
was joking to Jieyan on sunday, that in the current situation and the alert status of people on the Influenza type A, if i were to just sneeze at the airport tomorrow, security is gonna quarantine my ass till way past my Taiwan trip.. hahaa.. quite a high chance.. cos lately i've been having sneezing fits.. either someone is constantly thinking of me, or someone is violently cursing me behind my back.. i prefer to think the former ^_^
as for Taiwan right after Bali.. i a little worried about the situation there, cos Hong Kong and South Korea already kena.. wish it wouldnt spread over..
some random thoughts.. my Brunei JCC also lasted 9 days.. hard to think that i've actually been through such a long and tiring training.. dont think in my current state i have the mental perseverance to cheong through the whole thing all over again..
but incidentally, i did pack some stuff that i did use during JCC, like my gortex boots, my jackknife, gloves, water bag, survival pack (just in case) and not forgetting my jungle cap.. reminisce of old times..
你真的还是那么恨他吗? 能不能教我? 也许这样, 我才会更快忘掉她..all the best, and see you all when i come back..

the past few days broke the monotony of the 2 weeks i went into "self-exile" in order to save up money.. hahaa..
met up with Tracy and Shawn to discuss the Taiwan trip itinerary at Tracy's house.. skype with Jiamin in Taiwan to link up with her on which days to meet and which hotel/ motel to help us book.. easier to do it over at her side..
camped at home the whole of friday.. SCV was so bloody boring due to the repeated movies and shows i already watched at the start of the week.. ended up played the piano for most of the day..

one of the two fingers that bled after i finished my intensive piano session.. think it was because of the way i cut my nails, then the sharp edge pierced the skin when i slammed a few notes.. even part of the nail chipped off..
met up with Xinyu Justin n Jieyan for a bowling session in the afternoon at Ehub.. quite expensive per game ($4.20), but long time never bowl, so i dont mind the cost..

Xinyu trying her best to learn how to bowl.. hahaa.. i'll reserve the unglam shots here instead of
Facebook..
Justin then drove us to Changi Village for dinner, but we were early, so we took a walk near the beach..

情侣在沙滩散步.. hahaa..

this cat was scared of a Siberian Husky which a couple was taking for a walk.. it just jumped onto the tree and cling there until the dogs went away..

our
beloved Tekong.. hard to imagine that BMT was more than 2 years ago..
dropped by Justin's ORD bbq with his BMT mates.. he went to catch up abit, while we caught up with the swings..

not pictured - me eating sand..
that empty swing was what i was sitting on a moment before.. i jumped off, unbalanced, and fell into the sand.. tried it again at night and managed to remain standing..

i purposely over-exposed the camera to the night sky.. can see a little distortion of the colours, and many more stars that our eyes normally cannot see.. those white dots are all stars.. the distortions are little green, red and blue dots which can only be seen up close..
went Jieyan's house to chillax later.. they played mahjong while i just SCV-ed..
realised that i have this OCD
-ish thing about displaying my Gundams.. regardless of how packed my display cabinet is (and it is seriously packed), u can never find any two of the models touching each other.. not sure why, but i never liked them to be supported by their neighbours..
i also do not like my models to be standing in static poses, meaning just standing, looking straight, arms holding the weapons and hanging by the sides.. i prefer more dynamic ones even if it means standing sideways and holding a rifle up.. only few exceptions are my Perfect Grade-class Gundams.. they simply are too big to do any dynamic poses without taking up one whole level of the display shelf..
this two characteristics combined, means my display cabinet is a tough place to clean.. every time i need to arrange my models, it is like playing a game of pick-up-sticks.. hell, i cant even stick one finger in fully without touching at least 3 models..
大扫除 is always a pain in the ass for me..
everyone has triggers.. mine, unfortunately, is triggered by the mentioning of her name..
every time someone mentions her name, i cant help it but turn moody, because it just invites a flood of thoughts into my mind.. i can feel the expression flash across my face, and the worse part is, i cannot even help it, cannot even stop it.. the most i can do is try my best to change my expression back to indifference..
i feel that getting moody over such stuffs is childish, immature and spoilt.. just goes to show how mature i am at handling emotions and issues of the heart..
mediate on this, i will..
ps. my parents dont allow me to go Malacca with them, saying my travel schedule is too packed and will be too tiring.. guess i'll take those 3 days as a break then..

for the past 2 days..
nothing happened.. absolutely nothing..
the only interesting thing i did was to call travel agencies to check on holidays to Vietnam for my parents..
man.. when this kind of stuff becomes the highlight of the day.. i seriously need some excitement in my life..
so, here's a overview of my upcoming (packed) overseas trips.. going to have some problems packing my bags.. pun intended ^_^
Bali (云岗 gang): 5th May to 14th May
Malacca (Family): 15th May to 17th May
Taiwan (Loners + Joan): 18th May to 30th May
Vietnam or India? (Family?): to be confirmed.. but in June..
finally going overseas with my family, on a plane.. since, if i never remember wrongly, 2003 to South Korea.. one or two Malaysia trips since then with them, but those are small.. in total i missed 2 China trips, 1 Australia trip, 1 Japan trip T_T (WHY!!! WHY MUST I BE TORTURED THIS WAY!?!?!), and 1 Thailand trip.. sianZ~
still, the 2 oversea trips with friends, i really need to consider my budget.. left like about $900 in my bank, and the most $1.2k if all the pay comes in.. maybe $1.5k if all the money ppl owes me comes in.. still not enough.. Bali already estimate need $1k.. guess i am going Taiwan to beg, borrow or steal then..
was playing my piano as the sun was setting just now, then decided to play with the long exposure with my DSLR..

the orange glow comes from the light reflecting off the paperback books i used to support the camera..

was playing the 2nd piece in 斗琴 from 不能说的秘密.. the lens was open for about 2 seconds.. can see the shadowy form of my fingers as i reach for the low notes.. hahaa..
i remember how people have the impression that pianist are very
charming.. i do agree that some songs just sounds very
attractive, but i never feel that it should be the main reason why people feels attracted to pianist..
Appreciate me for who i am, not what i can do..
was talking to Sherry for the past 2 days to arrange a small celebration with our buddy Wesley, when i realised something that made me go "Holy Shit!! how come i never saw that in the first place?"
i just realised, that Alisa and Sherry have a few similarities, and almost the same situation, i.e. complicated love tangle, when Sherry was Alisa's age now..
1. they have a relatively "open" type of thinking..
their mindsets are not very conventional, and they do not hesitate to curse n swear.. they are also uncomfortably straightforward in their talking.. either they are really that straight-to-the-point, or they talk before they think..
2. they have a world-centres-around-me kind of thinking..
when talking to them both, you can feel that the main emphasis on their speech and thoughts are always about themselves.. i know most people are like this, but for them, they always like to relate most stuff that happens/ is happening, to things that happened to them.. so suddenly, the topic is back to them again.. though there is a difference in Sherry and Alisa's tone of speaking..
3. they both attract quite a few people..
they seems to be able to attract guys without much effort, regardless of the age gaps.. except that Sherry knows and either makes use, ignores or outright shuns them, but Alisa is totally oblivious, or just assumes that it is normal and doesnt give much thought about it (i say this because she seems to realise that Jieyan always looks du lan whenever people flirts with her, something that i never noticed)..
4. people treat them damn bloody well..
they always gets special treatment wherever they go.. total strangers will go the extra mile to serve them well.. Sherry takes note of these people, and sometimes even go on and make use of them for her own purpose.. Alisa just treats it like it is normal and assume it happens to everyone..
5. they both like to take pictures of themselves..
self-explanatory.. lots and lots of pictures.. which normally equates to high self-confidence..
6. they cannot stand people ignoring them..
when hanging out with them, if anyone suddenly zones out or starts to look sian, they will suddenly do or say weird stuff to gain back the person's attention.. seems as though they require constant attention from most, if not all, of the group.. if you start to ignore them they will whine and complain and do all the funny things.. having said so, they also cannot stand it when people talks and they are not involved in the conversation..
some difference though.. Sherry had lots of prejudice against lots of stuff, and i always feel this arrogance coming from her.. oh and Sherry consciously flirts around and uses her charm(?) to get what she wants.. havent sensed any of these from Alisa yet.. i wish i never will..
perhaps Sherry have changed after these years.. i am not too sure, cos never really hang out with her.. from the way she speaks, seems like she is still the same her from 4 years back.. i am hoping that this is judgemental error on my part..
while surfing the net today, i found out that yesterday was the original Gameboy's 20th Anniversary..

hijacked from
Dannychoo.. i still have it in my cupboard.. in working condition too =D

WARNING!! Picture Intensive Post.. 18 pics in total..
another boring day at home.. boring is sian, but at home means i am saving money, which is good..
practically SCV-ed most of the day away, slacking on my parent's bed, watching TV and using laptop to chat with friends at the same time.. stayed out longer after lunch to run 3 separate errands, but i completed them within 10 mins..
main highlight of the day, i took out my PG Aile Strike Gundam to test the compatibility with the PG Gundam Astray Red Frame.. sadly, they do not fit, even though they share the exact inner frame, just of a different colour (Bandai is cheapskate).. think if i were to remove some parts from the Gundam Astray it may fit in properly..
and since my PG Aile Strike Gundam is finally out of the display cupboard after so long, couldnt resist letting him join in the fun of posing with the PG Gundam Astray.. i'll let the pictures do most of the talking..

playing with swords =D 2 katana from Astray, 1 grand slam from Strike..

i like this double sword pose alot..

letting the little guy in on some of the action..
take it easy, bro..LOL
!!! the brotherhood pose.. due to some armour placement problems, the Astray cannot kneel as nicely as the Strike.. kneeling is one of the hardest thing for a Gundam model to do nicely, except maybe crossing his arm..

some pictures of Kaho i found on the web today..

i still prefer Kaho smiling than her emo-ing..

cheeky cheeky =P
found this picture on
Dannychoo about this model Akina Minami.. feel that her looks are not 'consistent' in the pictures, but this one looks super nice..

tomorrow is all set to be another boring day.. gotta think of something to do..
must..
not..
become..
a..
couch..
POTATO!!!
